Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

Section 1 — Introduction

HelperLedger (the "App") is a household administration app for families who employ domestic helpers in the United Arab Emirates, Singapore and Hong Kong. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

The App is designed so that your records stay on your device. We do not operate a server that stores your household records.

Section 2 — Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, transmit to our own servers, or sell:

The App contains no advertising and no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.

Section 3 — Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device (in a SQLite database, app files and app preferences):

The following is managed by third parties and is not stored only on your device:

Your household records are never sent to our servers. They leave your device only when you back them up to your own Google Drive, export a backup file, or export or share a PDF yourself.

Section 4 — Encryption and App Lock

If you forget your backup passphrase, a backup cannot be restored on another device. We cannot recover it for you.

Section 5 — Third-Party Services

The App uses the following services, which process information under their own privacy policies:

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device by the operating system; no notification server is used.

Section 6 — Information About Other People

The App lets you record information about your domestic helpers and family members. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to keep that information and for informing those people where required by law (for example under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, Singapore's PDPA or Hong Kong's PDPO).

We recommend that you keep passports and identity documents with their owners, take photos only with their knowledge, and delete records you no longer need.

Section 7 — Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent or share your data. Because your records are stored on your device, we have no access to them and cannot disclose them.

Section 8 — Analytics and Crash Reporting

The App does not include analytics, crash-reporting or advertising SDKs, and does not track you across apps or websites.

Section 9 — Children's Privacy

The App is intended for adult employers and household members aged 18 or over. It is not directed to children.

Section 10 — Data Retention and Deletion

Section 11 — Data Security

We use encryption for photos and backups and support an optional app lock. No method of storage is completely secure; please protect your device with a screen lock and keep your OS up to date.

Section 12 — International Data Transfers

Information processed by Google, Apple and RevenueCat may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, under those companies' safeguards.

Section 13 — Your Rights and Choices

Because your records are on your device, you can view, correct, export and delete them directly in the App. For sign-in or subscription data, you can also contact the relevant service provider or us using the form below.

Section 14 — California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA.

Section 15 — European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If the GDPR applies to you, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Most of these can be exercised directly in the App. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes take effect when posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
