Manual Shelf
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the mobile app "Manual Shelf" (the "App"). By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
No account is needed to use the App.
The App keeps information about the things you own (items), manual PDFs, photos of warranty cards and receipts, and warranty end dates on your own device, so you can search and view them. It reminds you with device notifications when a warranty is about to end.
"Find the manual online" only opens a Google search in your external browser using the brand and model number. The App has no database of manuals and does not guarantee that a manual will be found.
Warranty dates shown in the App are the dates you entered, or estimates calculated from the purchase date and the number of years. The actual terms, period and coverage are those in the warranty issued by the manufacturer or seller. Always check the original warranty before asking for a repair or replacement.
Reminders are delivered through your device's notification system. They may be late or not arrive because of device settings, battery saving or the operating system. We are not responsible for losses caused by a reminder that did not arrive.
Items, photos and PDFs are stored on your device. You are responsible for managing your data.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any loss of data, whatever the cause.
The App offers Pro, a single in-app purchase that you pay for once. There is no subscription. Pro includes the following.
Warranty reminders, "Find the manual online", and exporting to and importing from a file are available in the free version.
The App shows no ads and contains no advertising SDK, including in the free version.
Manuals and similar documents belong to their copyright holders, such as the manufacturer. Please keep and view them for your own use.
Rights in the App and its design belong to us. The data you enter or attach belongs to you. Product and company names are trademarks or registered trademarks of their owners.
The App is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from the use of the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim arose.
We may change, suspend or end all or part of the App, and we may revise these Terms. We will announce important changes through an app update.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over any dispute about the App or these Terms. This does not limit mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence.
For questions about these Terms, please use the contact page or the support contact on the store listing.
